Crazy for Plaid - FF #23

For the challenge over at The Shoe this week is Crazy for Plaid.....simple, right? Just use plaid in your project!

This is from our cruise in 2009 to Nassau, Bahamas where my silly DH decided he was gonna grab the Pirate (inappropriately) in front of the Tortuga Rum shop. Of course, I just had to snap a picture of him doing it, huh? That's why I love him.....he does the silliest, craziest things to make me laugh!!

I also made another one, this time with my PaPa at his 88th birthday party. I don't have very many pics with just he and myself, so I just knew I had to get one taken with him.....I just love him to pieces!

Hop on over to The Shoe and see what all the other DT members made this week. I look forward to seeing your work!

Snow Much Fun!!!

No scrapping post today, but boy, I can't wait to scrap these photos (and I'm not posting all of them, that would be too much!!)

These were taken on January 31, 2010, the day after our "big" snowstorm in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. We decided to get dressed up in our ski gear and go make snow angels in our backyard. Of course, there were some snowballs thrown too....LOL!!

Since we moved back to the area 4 1/2 years ago, it has never snowed. It was a lot of fun to watch it fall and then get to play around in it (for the next week...too!!), but let me tell you it was no fun to drive around in! Also, the schools were closed, so my girls did not have school for a total of 7 days....can anyone say "Cabin Fever"??? They were grateful to go back on that Thursday, and so was Mommy!!

Be sure to come back on Friday and see my latest creation for The Shoe blog. Until then....

xoxo,
Karen

A Wishblade and My 1st GDT entry....

I went and bought a Xyron Wishblade this week (only $149 at Tuesday Morning) and I've installed the software....now what?? It is a little intimidating to say the least, so I've joined the Yahoo group on the subject. Hopefully they will lessen my anxiousness at using it! I would love to be able to cut out words, in one of the 1000's of fonts I have on my computer, with it. I will keep you posted....LOL!! And now, FINALLY, my very first assignment for If the Shoe Fits blog came out today....YIPEE!! I'm super excited to be on the GDT over there, as they are wonderful ladies! If you are looking for weekly inspiration to get your scrap on, this is the place to visit!

Now, the challenge this week is a COLOR CHALLENGE....Red, Pink & White. I've created my "Je T'aime" page for this weeks challenge. Although I absolutely LOVE my layout, the other women on the DT with me are PHENOMENAL!!! I guess that just means that I need to up my "game" and start to think outside of my comfort zone. You can Click Here to go directly to the challenge.
